Vikki has been playing the violin for many years having started in a youth orchestra, over 15 years ago.

She has had a wealth of experience since and has enjoyed playing as a soloist, as a quartet and in an orchestra.

When turning professional Vikki changed to playing the electric violin, enhancing her performance allowing her to play solo and perform at many types of venues, for all kinds of occasions.

The electric violin consists of the same qualities as a normal violin apart from one main difference. The electric violin does not have a resonating chamber for the sound to vibrate through; instead the sound is transmitted via an instrument cable to a PA system.

A wireless microphone system allows Vikki to play anywhere in the venue, giving complete freedom from wires and leads and allowing the entire audience to hear the instrument, not just those sat nearby!

The electric violin is played along side specially designed backing music to give a completely unique performance.
